About me

I’m Dr Anes Yang, a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. My journey in dermatology has been marked by a commitment to excellence, innovation and a passion for quality patient care. I earned my Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Medical Studies from the University of New South Wales. I completed a Master of Public Health at the University of Sydney and went on to pursue a Master of Science.

My training has been diverse, taking place in some of New South Wales’ largest hospitals, including The John Hunter Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Liverpool Hospital, and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

I’ve been committed to evidence based medicine and participated in several clinical trials on acne, psoriasis, mole mapping, alopecia, skin microbiome, epidermolysis bullosa and autoimmune bullous diseases. I’ve contributed to dermatology literature with over 25 peer-reviewed journal publications and contributions to a textbook on dermatological diseases in skin of colour. I’ve presented at national and international dermatology conferences, sharing insights and advancements in the field of skin cancers, autoimmune bullous diseases, pigmentation disorders and procedural dermatology.

My dedication to innovation and quality improvement led me to serve as the former Chair of the JMO Innovation and Quality Committee for the Agency for Clinical Innovation. I was honored with a scholarship to the Academy of Emerging Leaders in Patient Safety by the Clinical Excellence Commission, recognising my commitment to patient care.
